SPORTS & FITNESS BACKGROUND:
I did gymnastics and soccer in middle school. I was on the volleyball team and softball team in high school. I was always relatively in decent shape, until the later end of college and grad school where there was a lot of sitting and studying. When I graduated chiropractic college I just didn't feel like I was fit anymore, I felt like I had a lot of work to do to get back to where I wanted to be. I wanted to be competitive and able to lead a fit lifestyle.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES/INTERESTS?
I love day/weekend trips to nearby cities with my fiancé. Recently, I've been going to Executive Command seminars where I learn how to communicate with different personalities and how to run a successful business. I can't wait to invest in businesses outside of chiropractic. Also in the past 3 years, it's been a pleasure to be apart of all my friends wedding parties and watching them marry the love of their lives!

HOW DID YOU FIRST GET EXPOSED TO CROSSFIT? Take us back to your first WOD.... what was it, anyhow did it feel?
I started working as a chiropractic functional movement specialist and I needed to understand movement/exercise/nutrition and how I can help my patients. I started CrossFit in hopes of just getting in shape. I remember my first week of doing CrossFit, I felt out of my element because I was never a part of a weight lifting program and I had never done most of the movements. I remember feeling this burning sensation within 2-3 minutes of every workout - it sucked - I hated that I had no endurance or stamina!

"I’m stronger and fitter than I ever have been. CrossFit not just changed my body but it changed my mental toughness. My friends ask how it’s so easy for me to continue my fitness journey and the answer is simple - I never want to feel weak or physically vulnerable again, I want to continue learning and achieving new fitness goals. I lost 12 lbs of fat within the first 4 months of starting CrossFit and weighed as much as I did when I graduated high school! I was never able to do 1 pull up and now I can do 10. It makes me want to be a bigger badass!

HOW HAS CROSSFIT IMPACTED YOUR LIFE?
It allows me to hit goals not just in the gym but also when I’m treating patients, running a multi-disciplinary practice, training staff/providers, and setting life/financial goals. The CrossFit mentality of toughness and perseverance has carried its way into every portion of my life letting me transform my life into what I want it to be, not being complacent.
All in all I just love being around the positive energy, watching people hit PRs, and creating friendships within this phenomenal and supportive community. My two most favorite memories were: Valentine’s Day Massacre 2 years ago when Tim yacked in the middle of the thruster/box jump wod! It was incredible when Bre threw Ryan on her back and did lunges across the room.
