SPORTS & FITNESS BACKGROUND:
I've always been active starting with swimming when I was younger and participation in a variety of intramural sports throughout high school and college, but was never a competitive athlete. While I was in high school I was introduced to strength training/bodybuilding and became a dedicated gym goer ever since- think I've been a member at every common gym franchise at one point or another.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES/INTERESTS?
In addition to my professional and fitness related interests, I enjoy going to concerts, traveling, and seeking out new restaurant and food experiences.

HOW DID YOU FIRST GET EXPOSED TO CROSSFIT? Take us back to your first WOD.... what was it, anyhow did it feel?
I first heard about CrossFit maybe 4-5 years ago, but I was content with the same gym routines I'd been doing for years. When I moved for work last January, I was looking for a new place to workout. That process included doing trial memberships and classes at a few places and CrossFit Absecon was on that list. My 1st WOD had burpees and after doing like 5 I seriously thought I was going to pass out or vomit, possibly both. I realized for the first time that I was not nearly as fit as I thought. Despite this, everyone was really friendly, supportive, and made me feel comfortable about coming back to give another day a try. And then another....and another....and well, the rest is history.

" Besides the calluses? I've definitely noticed more muscle tone and definition. Since starting CrossFit I'm more physically fit, significantly stronger, and I'm a better runner than ever before.

HOW HAS CROSSFIT IMPACTED YOUR LIFE?
CrossFit has given me incredible endurance both physically and mentally. I love how every day is a new challenge to continue to better myself. Plus there is nothing like the support of the CFA community. It really feels like family here. Being cheered on for a PR is awesome and it's equally rewarding to see others reach their goals.
